1/12/2024 0 Comments Cabinet vision software![]() I am going through your post and will give you an update! $16,000 in taxes is no joke, and took me years to pay off. Taxes on independent work is a serious bitch. * Save about half of what you make as a consultant in a separate account. * The most successful office I've ever seen listens to the shop ![]() ![]() * Spending four hours a month in training everyone (shop and owners) on something new is a good way to keep your guys flexible * The most successful businesses out there are ones where the shop learns as fast as the office, and they can incorporate new ways of doing things easily * Anything that has batteries in it has died, and no one thought to say anything I really want to move in that direction, but there's a ton of resistance to it. Just about the only thing I haven't been able to budge the owners on, however, is going paperless. That meant that I spent a couple years driving all over Southern California on nights and weekends doing consulting work for every variety of cabinet shop you could think of, and I took a lot of lessons in that way, slowly changing our process to the best of everything that I've seen. Some of that happens on here, though.Ī little under a decade ago, I made friends with my local CV rep and said that if he had people in his territory that needed CV/ UCS/ general help to send them my way. The official forums are one way to do it, and my primary way of talking with my peers. Mostly, I just stay in contact with people.
